The Fool card, number zero, represents the Everyman: s/he's you, s/he's me- everyone is the Fool. S/he's brave, wild, free, innocent, just now embarking on an adventure for knowledge and learning, where s/he will meet many amazing people. S/he strides forward, bag packed, and gazing with hope and wonder at the distant horizon. The problem with looking at the horizon is that s/he doesn't notice the cliff right at his/her feet.
This Fool has wings- but, being a Fool, it's anybody's guess whether s/he will remember to use them once s/he runs out of ground. S/he's cheerful enough to be entertained and educated by either outcome.

Image made entirely in Photoshop 5.0 LE using a Wacom tablet, airbrush tool, four layers.
Was the start of what I intended to be a set of Major Arcana of personal significance, but that project is currently on a rather far-back burner.
The dragon in the image represents me. It's my user icon too.
Disclaimer: the Fool card has had many interpretations throughout the history of the Tarot. In some decks it wasn't in there at all, in some the Fool is cast as pitiable and miserable rather than funloving and carefree, and so on. This just happens to be my favorite interpretation, and is the one I use.

Wow, this is really pretty. I love the bright colors. That's something I'd like to do in my own work, but always end up dulling them down. It really is beautiful, lovely job.
